Her paintings celebrate the rich environment and exuberance of her mother country. Mara is looking forward to welcoming you to her world with Brazilian hospitality. We hope you will enjoy the exhibition as well as viewing the workspace and display of 18 other local artists in the 4th Street Fine Art collective. The gallery in the South Fourth (SoFo) district is an easy stroll from the restaurants and shops of 4th Street in Berkeley, which is a chic area with many dining opportunities. 4th Street is dog and child friendly. Please take this opportunity to enjoy an evening out.
About Mara:
Mara has lived in the SF Bay area since 2000, and her paintings have been featured and sold in the U.S., Brazil,
Spain, London, and Japan. Mara is an intuitive abstract painter. Her large textured paintings and triptychs are
perfect for home or office. They have a relaxed playful vibe. She uses saw dust, coffee powder, marble dust,
and other natural compounds to create the depth that she relishes. Her paintings are intriguing, amusing, and free of opinion. This is her second solo show in the United States.
