Information for Members and Invited Artists May 6 - June 19 Artists Reception: May 15, 3 - 5 pm
4th Street Fine Art is proud to host an Invitational Exhibition for 2022. For this special event, our resident artists each invited a special guest artist of their choice. Each invited artist will contribute artwork that fit within a space of 24" x 24" on our main exhibition wall. The result is a delightful combination of abstract, realism, collage and fine drawing. If you’re looking for something new at 4th Street Fine Art, look no further.
SCHEDULE By April 15: Submit Names of Invited Artist Members: Submit names and online information (website, instagram, email etc.) of their invited artist. Anytime after invitation: Publicize Exhibition Invited artists are requested to publicize the exhibition through any media (email, social media, snail mail etc.). Please use the following exhibition webpage.
By April 24: Submit Photo(s) of Artwork (Optional for exhibition website) Invited artists: Please email photos of invited artist artwork (artwork that will be part of the exhibition) to firstname.lastname@example.org (Subject Line: 4th Street Fine Art Invitational 2022. Include the following in the body of the email: Artist Name, Title, Medium, Dimensions in Inches, Selling Price).
By May 1: Physical Drop off of Artwork Members or Invited artists: Artwork must be dropped off in person at 4th Street Fine Art, 2000 Fourth Street, Berkeley, CA 94710 during gallery hours or by appointment with a gallery member (See Accepted Artwork Requirements below). Members: please place artwork in Sherrod Blankner's or Michael Sacramento's space.
May 6: Exhibition Opens
May 15, 3-5pm: Artist Reception Invited artists: Please attend and bring guests!
June 19: Exhibition Closes
After June 19: Pick up Artwork Invited artists: Artwork must be picked up in person at 4th Street Fine Art, 2000 Fourth Street, Berkeley, CA 94710 during gallery hours or by appointment with a gallery member (Artwork will be placed in inviting member's space).
ACCEPTED ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS - Artwork for each invited artist must fit into a 24"x24" space - Artwork must be able to hang on exhibition wall - Artwork must be ready to hang on exhibition wall - Artwork must be labeled with the following information: Artist Name, Title, Medium, Dimensions in Inches, Selling Price
SALES The gallery will take a 12% commission from any work sold through the gallery. If an artist’s work is purchased by credit card, the artist will have the merchant fee deducted from their payment for the work (approximately 2.75%). Artists who obtain commissions through their presence in the gallery owe the gallery10% of the commission. If a gallery member obtained the commission for the artist, then the artist also owes the sales person 10%.
Commission percentages will be calculated by the gallery. Payments to invited artists will be made to the member who invited them. Then the member will provide the payment to the participating artist.
