Embrace is a national juried gallery and online exhibition presented by 4th Street Fine Art (FSFA), a cooperative gallery in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost twenty years, dedicated to promoting the arts and providing a broad array of arts opportunities.
Call for Entries (Deadline November 30, 2021)
The Embrace call invites artists to submit artwork. To Embrace can be physical like a hug or conceptual as in embracing an idea. Vines can embrace a fence and fog can embrace the city. Open to all artists, regardless of gender, age 18 and over. Open to all styles, representational or abstract in any wall-hanging media will be considered: painting, drawing, fiber, relief, glass, photo etc. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme freely. No video, film or installations accepted.

The Embrace exhibition will be presented in two forms – a physical show in the 4th Street Fine Art gallery, and an online presentation in the FSFA “Virtual Gallery” which will include the works chosen for exhibition in the physical gallery in a Featured Works section, as well as one work from each entrant not chosen for the physical exhibition in an Additional Works section. The price and contact information of each artist in the Additional Works section will be included in their listing. In addition, a video version showing all works in the physical gallery exhibition will be available and will remain available to view after the exhibition closes.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES
Artwork Specifications:
Any wall-hanging media will be considered: painting, drawing, fiber, relief, glass, photography, etc.
All properly prepared entries (refer to Entry Procedure and Digital Image Format) will be viewed and judged by the jurors. The decision of the jurors is final. No more than 2 works by any one artist will be included in the final juried selection. NOTE: FSFA has no prohibition against displaying art depicting nudity or political issues. However, it reserves the right to refuse artwork which, in the opinion of the Board of Directors will be offensive to visitors or any of its members.
Entry Procedure and Digital Image Format:
You are invited to submit digital images of up to a total of Ten (10) of your original works, not previously shown in a 4th Street Fine Art juried exhibition. Only online entries with digitally uploaded images to CaFE will be accepted. Digital entries must be RECEIVED via the CaFE application by Tuesday, November 30, 2021 before 11:59pm Mountain Time.
Entry access and instructions may be found on CaFE. If you are already registered with CaFE, you may use your existing username and password to enter this show. All entries must be submitted with digital images and must adhere to CaFE requirements:
Entry Fee (non-refundable):
$35 for 1 entry, $7 for each additional entry up to (10) pieces.
Payments to be made by credit card, debit (VISA or MC) or PayPal through the CaFE application. Diptychs and triptychs count as one piece, use only one image of the entire diptych or triptych. Fee payment does not guarantee that any/all artworks submitted for jurying will be included in the exhibition.

ACCEPTED ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
Artists will receive email notices of accepted artwork by Tuesday, December 21, 2021, (by midnight PDT). A SEPARATE email notice will be sent on the same date showing non-accepted artwork. In addition, a list of the accepted artwork will be posted on the FSFA website at 4thstreetfineart.com/embrace (this webpage). If your work is misrepresented, we reserve the right to refuse to feature your artwork on the Online Gallery. No changes to title, price, or other material information will be permitted after November 30, 2021.
Sales:
Sales of Artwork in the Online Exhibition: By submitting work for exhibition, if the artist chooses to offer their work for sale, the artist's email contact information will be posted along with their artwork image on the Online Gallery exhibition so that the artist can be contacted by potential buyers. NOTE: The artist may opt to show their website link instead of their email contact information posted with their entry by indicating such on their CaFE entry. The "Show Price" indicated for each work on the entry form will be the list price for said work on the Online Gallery exhibition. This price does not include shipping and handling costs. The artist will handle the sale of their artwork and shipping thereof. Any interested purchaser will contact the artist directly regarding purchase of artist's work. 100% of the sale of work will go to the artist; no commission to FSFA.
